This topic will help you understand the Workflow process with the help of a Sample Workflow Application developed using Skelta Workflow.NET 2004. The Sample Application is supplied to you along with your installation of Skelta Workflow.NET 2004. You will also get an insight into the efficiency, effectiveness and power of Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 through the examples discussed.
The Sample Application uses Skelta workflows to manage the following processes:
To access any of these applications,
1. Go to this page:
http://localhost/SkeltaSample/Samples.aspx
2. Select from one of the three options available - Leave Application, Product Enquiry, and Expense Declaration.
The workflows for these processes are defined using the Process Designer, which is one of the core components of Skelta Workflow.NET 2004. The Process Designer has a set of standard actions used to define workflow processes using a simple drag, drop and link method. You can easily modify the workflow process in the Process Designer, to suit changed requirements in a business process. For example, you could change the resource(s) who should approve a request for leave to reflect a change in the organizational structure.

The Administrator has the rights to view details of the Sample Application like the Workflow process designs, to modify the process designs, to update Company Calendars, to add or modify tables like Department, Designations, Projects, Resources, etc.
