Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 Licensing Deactivation Procedure

The user must deactivate the Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 license when uninstalling the software. Deactivation can be done by confirming it in the dialog box that pops up during uninstallation.

Automatic Deactivation during Uninstallation:

To deactivate your licence during installation carry out the following steps:

  1. Start the uninstallation process.
  2. During uninstallation the Deactivation dialog box is displayed. Click the Deactivate button in this dialog to start the deactivation process.
  3. After the Successful Deactivation message is displayed in the Deactivation window, click on the Close button.

Note: Like automatic activation, automatic deactivation also requires a direct Internet connection. Proxy Server connections and Firewalls can prevent successful deactivation. If deactivation fails or cannot be done automatically, users can opt to deactivate the license manually.

Manual Deactivation through Email:

If the product cannot be deactivated automatically using the Deactivate button, you can deactivate through email. To deactivate your licence manually, carry out the following steps:

  1. If you encounter errors during deactivation (due to a Firewall or failed Internet connection), the error dialog box shows the Invoke Email option. Click on this option. If this dialog is not displayed, for some reason, manually open a new email window and send the Skelta Workflow.Net 2004 - Developer Edition.LicDeactivation file to activation@skelta.com as an attachment.
  2. This opens the new email window of Outlook addressed to the following email ID: activation@skelta.com, with instructions to proceed with the email activation. Press Ctrl+V as mentioned to add the <Product name>.LicDeactivation file installed in the \Bin folder to the email as an attachment. Alternatively, you can use the ‘Insert File’ feature of Outlook and browse to the \Bin folder to manually attach the file. After inserting the attachment send this mail.
  3. You will receive an email from the activation server confirming deactivation.

Manual Deactivation from Command Prompt:

If the product cannot be deactivated automatically using the Deactivate button, deactivation can also be done from the command prompt. This will be useful when email deactivation is also not possible. To deactivate your license manually, carry out the following steps:

  1. Please open the command prompt and go to the C:\Program Files\Skelta\Workflow.NET\Bin\ folder.
  2. Type LicenseManager/deactivate/app:DE[PS/AS] and press <Enter>
Note: Here, DE, PS, and AS are the product codes of the Developer Edition, Professional Server Edition and Advance Server Edition respectively. The appropriate code can be specified depending on the product license being activated.
  3. Wait till you get a message confirming successful deactivation.
  4. If automatic deactivation fails, send the Skelta Workflow.Net 2004 - <Product Code>.LicDeactivation file to activation@skelta.com as an email attachment using the Invoke Email option in the error dialog. If this dialog is not displayed, for some reason, open a new email window and send the file to activation@skelta.com as an attachment.
  5. You will get a mail back from the activation server confirming deactivation.
  6. Your copy of Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 is now deactivated. You can use the deactivated License Serial key to reactivate the product on the same machine or to activate it on a new machine.
