The user needs to activate the Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 license to be able to use all the features of the software. A grace period of fifteen days has been provided for activating the license. In this period, the user has limited access to Skelta Workflow.NET 2004. In the event of the license not being activated within the grace period, Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 will cease functioning.

Automatic Activation during Installation:

To activate your licence during installation carry out the following steps:

1. Launch the Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 Installation Wizard.
2. Make sure that a direct Internet connection is available during the installation to ensure seamless activation of the product.
3. During installation, when prompted for the Activation key, enter the license key that has been provided with your product.
4. At the end of the installation, the Activation window is displayed with the Activate now and Activate later options. Select the Activate now option here and click the Next button.
5. This opens a dialog with the Activate Now button. Click on this button to start the activation process.

Note: Choosing this option is recommended as it immediately gives full access to all the features of the software.
However, if the user is not connected to the Internet at the time of installing Skelta Workflow.NET 2004, or is connected through a proxy server, they can choose the Activate later option. A grace period of fifteen days from the date of installation, is available for activation. However, in this period some features of the software will not be enabled.

Automatic Activation after Installation:

This activation method can be used if you had selected the Activate Later option in the Activation window of the Installation Wizard. To activate your licence after installation carry out the following steps:

1. Go to the Programs>Skelta>Skelta Workflow.NET 2004 menu and select the Skelta Activation option here.
2. This opens a dialog with the message that the product has not been activated and advising the user to activate. Click on the Activate Now button in this dialog to activate the product.

Note: Once the product has been activated, all its features become fully enabled.

Manual Activation through Email:

If the product cannot be activated automatically using the Activate Now button, activation can also be done through email. To activate your licence manually, carry out the following steps:

1. If you encounter errors during activation (due to a Firewall or failed Internet connection), the error dialog box shows the Invoke Email option. Click on this option. If this dialog is not displayed, for some reason, manually open a new email window and send the Skelta Workflow.Net 2004 - Developer Edition.LicActivation file to activation@skelta.com as an attachment.
2. This opens the new email window of Outlook addressed to the following email ID: activation@skelta.com, with instructions to proceed with the email activation. Press Ctrl+V as mentioned to add the <Product name>.Licactivation file installed in the \Bin folder to the email as an attachment. Alternatively, you can use the ‘Insert File’ feature of Outlook and browse to the \Bin folder to manually attach the file. After inserting the attachment send this mail.
3. You will receive an immediate response activation server in the form of an email with a ZIP file attached.
4. This ZIP file has an EXE file, which you must extract to the \Bin folder. After extracting run the file from this folder. This will activate the product and you will receive a message confirming activation. Until the activation is completed, you can continue to use the product with some restrictions, as in the case of direct online activation.

Manual Activation from Command Prompt:

If the product cannot be activated automatically using the Activate Now button, activation can also be done from the command prompt. To activate your license manually, carry out the following steps:

1. Please open the command prompt and go to the C:\Program Files\Skelta\Workflow.NET\Bin\ folder.
2. Type LicenseManager /serial:<serial key> /app:PS and press <Enter>
3. In the next line type LicenseManager and press <Enter> to execute the command. This will create two new files named Skelta Workflow.Net 2004 - Professional Server.Lic and Skelta Workflow.Net 2004 - Professional Server.LicActivation.
4. Simultaneously, the activation window also pops up. Click on the Activate Now button in this window to activate.
5. Wait till you get a message confirming successful activation.
6. If automatic activation fails, send the Skelta Workflow.Net 2004 - Professional Server.LicActivation file to activation@skelta.com as an email attachment using the Invoke Email option in the error dialog. If this dialog is not displayed, for some reason, open a new email window and send the file to activation@skelta.com as an attachment.
