Effectively using a Forms Designer feature for easy process workflows

The Skelta BPM.NET Forms Designer has a toolset that is complete with drawing, import, and text tools, plus a detailed alignment and layering toolbar to ensure you have the precise control to generate professional quality forms.

The created forms are then mapped to the relevant steps in the process workflow. The data mapping between the form fields and process attributes can easily be associated in the control property sheets. The end users interact with this screen while performing the tasks, and data entered into these forms are passed back to and from the process seamlessly. The Forms Designer also provides tools to apply validation rules or formulas, in the form. Validation rules eliminate data entry errors when users type values into the form. It also provides users with useful tool tips to guide them, when they fill the forms.

Business Scenario

Company x has a typical recruitment process, managed by HRMS. The HR Manager, as part of the recruitment process, had to design certain forms. For example, a "Candidate Information" form that has to be given to the candidates who come for Interview. This form can be designed using an external application, but it has to be then integrated into the process. So there was a need for a solution, which could take care of the form design as well as associate it to workflows.

Skelta's BPM.NET includes a Forms Designer which enables the HR Manager to create/design the Candidate Information form. As the Forms Designer also provides an easy to use drag and drop interface for designing, the HR Manager can quickly design the form, make changes, and preview it, before making it available throughout the organization.

Additionally, as the forms are process-driven, they can be reused at different stages, once they are built. The form so designed can now be associated to a workflow. As soon as the candidate fills the form, the associated workflow is triggered and the HR Manager is informed. This Form will help the HR department know the basic details of the candidate. An Online Test is given to the candidate and depending on the candidate's total IT experience and Company X can now schedule an interview for the candidate with the appropriate person.
