Hi Jimmilee,

You need to set the SMTP Settings:

1.       SMTP Server IP: To set the connection to SMTP Server.

2.       SMTP Server Port: On which port services are running.

3.       POP3 Mail Host: Machine name or IP on which POP3 services are running.

4.       POP time interval: Time interval to activate EmailTracker to check the mail in mail box specified in POP users.

5.       POP Mail Port: Port on which services are running.

6.       IS SPA Enabled: If it accepts only encrypted password.

And need to set the following in Repository Settings:

1.       Exception From Email: Activity Senders mail.

2.       Exception to Mail: Receiver’s Email to receive the exception on application level.

Please go through the attached images for details.

Regards,

Bineesh E Raghavan

Hi Bineesh, how are you?

Thanks for your reply.

I had already made those settings.

As I told you before, I am able to test the e-mail settings (I receive the test email) and I am also receive an email when an workflow terminates with errors.

However, when I use activities I am to notify the users trough email even tough they have the correct email address and the channel is set to MailWorkList.

I was wondering if there is anything missing.

Thanks once again for your help.

Best regards,

Rui

Hi Rui,

I'm fine and hope you are doing well.

Receiving Test mail and exception mail settings are fine in your case, but I'm afraid you've missed something in SMTPSettings.

Can you send the screenshot of your SMTPSettings?

Regards,

Bineesh E Raghavan

Hi Rui,

Please check the POP user name and password that you have configured for pop3 account by opening the inbox. Close this inbox in all the machines. Because if outlook fetch the mail first then POP service cannot fetch the same. And after replying to the workflow activity mail; just have a look to the configured user’s inbox. This is just to confirm whether the mail is going back to the configured user or not. If the replied mail is there then there is something missing in SMTP Notification settings. If you have given POP user as “user@domain.com”, just change it to “user”, remove the @ part from mail id.

Thanks & Regards,
Nishant

Hello once again.

Bineesh, please find attached the images you asked, hope it helps. I use the same email account for all the "hidden" fields.

Nishant, I have been only able to receive "exception emails", or test messages. Therefore, I still don't have my users receiving messages trough e-mail.

Additionally, when I use the activity "Email" I get the following message:

Exception: Workflow.NET.DataBridgeException: Invalid provider details for entityitem(), Repository:SNITURHFormsRepository, severityLevel: Critical
  at Skelta.Entity.DataBridgeFramework.DataBridgeManager.xd807b2320d12d97a(String x30faf23779022f6f, String xed110b483c78e773, String& xb6d6240a6680bed6)
  at Skelta.Entity.DataBridgeFramework.DataBridgeManager.GetEntityItem(Object entityId)
  at Skelta.UserEntity.UserEntityProvider.GetResource(Object realUserId)
at Workflow.NET.ActionHandler.MailHandler.Run(Int32 ExecutionID, Int32 ExecutionDetailsId, Context CurrentContext, Action CurrentAction, String InlinkOutput, Boolean Retry, String& Output)

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Rui

Hi Rui,

As mentioned by Nishant, please remove the “@domain.com” from the POP3 mail settings under category "SMTP Settings" and try again.
