Alternate resource functionality works fine in R2. Please make sure to search for user by checking 'ID search' option. 'Name search' fails with LDAP/Active Directory resource handler. Syntax for id search for LDAP should be the login name of the user without domain.

However, both Name and ID search works fine for SPSResource Handler. Syntax for ID search for SPS should be domain\login format.
