Skelta Workflow.NET Release 1.8 Launched

Bangalore, November 10, 2003 - Skelta announced today the latest release of its revolutionary product, Skelta Workflow.NET, the world's first embeddable .NET workflow engine for developers and development companies. The result of research and constant innovation on the existing product, Skelta Workflow.NET 1.8 brings to the table increased performance, and more features that enable a developer to deploy complex workflow functionality with remarkable ease and speed of integration.

Skelta Workflow.NET 1.8 includes, in addition to other features, a robust report control that adds report generation functionality to the product, and allows the user to generate and view reports of the workflow processes created in the Process Designer.

The Report Control has an extensive query engine that allows the user to customize reports. Some of the various levels of detail possible are:

• Graphical Display of status, paths and time metrics
• Data Presentation on multiple workflows in multiple views
• Reports based on actions, resources, workflows, states and exceptions

The Report Filter UI opens when the Report control is embedded and configured from a Web Form in the Web Application. In this UI the user can specify the Report Filter to select the workflow, for which the report should be generated.

Another new feature added in Release 1.8 is Workflow Control. With this feature the user can Pause and Restart running workflows, and Stop them if necessary. Users can also view activity details like the time taken for individual actions to execute.

Also new in Release 1.8 are the MS Access data handlers, Active Directory resource handlers, as well as the SOAP Wrapper web service for accessing the workflow engine features. Another useful feature that is new in Release 1.8 is the Multilevel debugging facility. This allows users to configure the level of debugging detail displayed in the Skelta Logger Console.

More sample applications have been provided with Release 1.8, along with source code, to enable better understanding of the product. Skelta Workflow.NET is backed up by comprehensive documentation such as Online Help, User Guide and API Reference, that can be referred to when needed.
