Skelta participated in the Microsoft Next Generation Infrastructure Summit 7-city road show
Skelta was one of the companies chosen to showcase
its business solution in the Microsoft Next Generation
Collaboration Infrastructure Summit. This event
unveiled Microsoft's vision for IT heads and presented
solutions that would allow them to develop, deploy
and operate their IT infrastructure more efficiently.
The event was held in 7 cities in the months of
September and October, 2004.
Skelta simulated a purchase requisition system
to show the power of its workflow solution. It
demonstrated how its Workflow.NET product could
take a knowledge management system to another
level by embedding workflows within it.
The demo used a critical, yet very common business
scenario to highlight the necessity for workflows
in a networked world where accessibility and timeliness
are crucial for effective decision-making.
A purchase requisition request was filled
on the go, and sent to a decision maker who was
accessible only through a mobile device. The decision
maker indicated his response as to the confirmation
or rejection of the request from the mobile device.
The response was received and the request cycle
was completed .
This demo enabled the audience to see the ease
with which workflows can be introduced into the
system and how they add value to management at
all levels.
